Description
Small discs are easy to flex, which is why this 70mm flap disc is built on a steel backing plate. The iron back keeps the face perfectly flat and rigid, so even on light and medium-pressure work the abrasive stays in full contact with the surface and removes material evenly without chatter.
The steel plate also protects the disc from edge tearing and gives it a longer working life than fibreglass-backed discs of the same size. It runs on a standard angle grinder and reaches into confined spaces where larger discs cannot go.
